On the morning of November 6, multiple bear sightings were reported in Shiwa Town, Iwate. At around 06:20 an adult about 1 m long was seen in a ginkgo tree on the grounds of La France Onsen; at 06:28 a parent and cub (2 bears) were seen near the south side road of Gokuraku-ji temple; and at 06:43 an adult about 1.5 m long was seen near Katayose Dateda. No human or property damage has been confirmed.
