On the downhill section of the Odaigahara Driveway, I encountered an animal that appeared to be a young bear crossing the road. It went under the guardrail and descended the slope.

Near the Oohashi teahouse close to the Mount Yamanoe trailhead, on a forest road a little east of there, I saw a black animal crossing the road from the Yamajo River toward the mountain.
