On a municipal road leading to the Gosho-Kake Nature Study Path, a wandering bear about 1–2 m in length was seen. It showed no wariness of passing cars and continued wandering. It hid in the west brush, but re-emerged on the road, was driven away, and fled to the eastern mountains. After a period of nearby monitoring, no further sightings.
