On Monday, June 29 at approximately 6:10 p.m., on the Yanagitsu–Showa main prefectural road in Nagasaka, Sunagohara, Yanagitsu Town, a witness (male in his 40s) observed a bear (about 50 cm in body length) crossing the road while driving. The bear subsequently left heading west toward the mountains.
