At about 21:10 on December 4, 2025, at a residence in Nozawa Kamijo Michikita-ko, Nishiaizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture, a man in his 70s spotted two bears (approximately 1.5 m and 1.0 m long) running on the south side of his property; the bears then ran off to the north. No damage to people or property was confirmed, and the police are coordinating with Nishiaizu Town and conducting patrols near the scene.

Around 8 a.m. on November 13, in the area of Shimo-Koji in Nishiaizu Town, a witness in their 60s driving saw a bear about 1 m on the north slope of the road. The bear then climbed the slope and disappeared.
