On Friday, June 26 at around 4:40 p.m., a witness (male in his 70s) observed a bear (one individual, approximately 1 m in body length) in Ogawa, Uenoji area, Tadami Town. The bear was seen climbing a tree near a nearby shrine while the witness was working. The bear had already left the area and its subsequent whereabouts are unknown.

Around 4:30 AM on October 11, on National Route 289 in Narudo, Tadami Town, a driver saw a bear about 1 m jump onto the road from the right and collide with the vehicle. The bear then fled toward the south into the mountains.
