Around 09:30 on April 25, 2026, four bears were sighted in Inawashiro Town, Tamayoshi Honari-otsu (near Tatsuzawa Fudo Falls); passersby observed them up in a tree. No damage to people or property has been confirmed so far; the police have warned residents and, in coordination with the town office, have stepped up patrols.

Around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, along National Route 115 on the left side shoulder in the Naka no Hara area, Oaza Wakamiyacho, Inawashiro Town, a witness observed a single bear (about 1 meter in length) moving from Fukushima City toward Inawashiro Town in a vehicle. The bear's subsequent movements are unknown.

Around 7:40 a.m. on November 14, on the Monzen-Green Line (Kōnan Green Line) along the Green Line near Honari, a witness saw two bears about 50 cm long crossing from west to east on the main local road; the bears then headed into the forests on the east side.
