Around 3:57 PM on October 18, in Tadami Town, Kadota area, the witness (a man in his 40s) driving observed three bears on a levee walkway: one about 1.5 m long and two about 1 m. The bears' whereabouts afterward are unknown.

Around 11:00 PM on October 17, on National Route 289 in Shimo Yama area, the witness driving west from Tadami toward Minami-Aizu observed a bear about 1 m crossing from north forest toward the southern Inan River direction. The bear headed toward the Inan River.

Around 1:20 PM on October 14, on National Route 289 in Ōkura, Tadami Town, the witness driving from west to east observed a bear about 50 cm crossing from south to north. After crossing, the bear continued north toward the river.
