Shortly after 18:00 on December 23, 2025, a woman in her 40s witnessed a black four-legged animal running out of shrubs near Gorin Bridge in Makomanai, Minami Ward, Sapporo, and reported it to the police as a bear sighting. Police say there were no other reports of sightings in the area.
