On Wednesday, June 24 at about 9:30 a.m., on the prefectural road within Kinonezaka in Nihonmatsu City, a witness (male in his 40s) driving a vehicle observed a bear (approximately 1 m in body length) crossing the prefectural road from south to north. The bear then ran into the woodland on the north side of the road.

Around 9:50 a.m. on Friday, May 15, in a field in Dake Onsen 4-chome, Nihonmatsu City, a witness (male in his 70s) saw one bear (about 1 m in body length) in the field while walking with his spouse. The bear then left, heading west toward a grove of mixed trees.

Around 3:18 PM on February 28, near Nagata, Ninomatsu City, within a national forest along Prefectural Route 386 (Dake Onsen Line), a witness (a woman in her 40s) observed one bear while jogging, crossing the prefectural road from north to south. Afterwards, the bear entered the forest to the south and disappeared from view.
