Around 21:30 on October 30, a resident found bear droppings on a road in a residential area near Nishi 24-jo Minami 4-chome, Obihiro City. A hunter inspected the droppings and found acorns and grapes inside; because they were larger than a softball they were judged to be from a brown bear, and police are urging caution in the area.
