Because bears repeatedly appeared around Naruko Elementary and Junior High School in Ōsaki City, the school began transporting all students by school bus from November 11. As of the 10th, Ōsaki City had received 314 bear sighting reports this fiscal year, with about half concentrated in the Naruko Onsen area.
