On the 17th, Hiroshima City reported that on the night of the 14th a person returning home by bicycle in Kamiyasu 7-chome, Asaminami Ward, saw an animal resembling a bear enter the mountain from the road. No traces were found during the on-site survey on the 17th, but footprints of a bear were confirmed on a nearby prefectural road on the 7th of this month, so the possibility cannot be ruled out and residents are being urged to be cautious.

No further confirmations were made after October, and part of the west area reopened on December 19, 2025; access is limited to animal areas and the west area closes at 16:00.
