Around 07:30 on November 14, a report was received that one bear was trapped in a snare in Shimo Akatani, Tainai City; at 09:10 the same day authorities, in cooperation with Shibata Police, carried out an emergency shooting to capture (euthanize) the bear. The bear was about 1.2 meters long and there were no injuries.
