[Posted] This is a trace report, not a sighting. This morning, when I took out burnable trash, I noticed two 30 cm diameter holes torn in the chain-link fence around the garbage area near Niida Honmachi 3-chome 9-11. It doesn’t seem like a person or crow could have done that. I don’t think this happened when I took out mercury waste on 11/21 (Fri).

At around 16:50 on November 8, 2025, a man in his 50s spotted a bear about 1.5 meters long on the grounds of a residence in Yokoyama, Niida, Akita City. Akita Central Police notified relevant agencies and used patrol cars to warn residents and monitor the area.
