At around 06:10 on May 20, 2026, one bear was sighted on the road near Hoshujikyinen Hospital in Ryokugaoka, Nomi City, Ishikawa. The next day at about 05:30 a.m., a cub was seen near a reservoir in Wakodai, Nomi City; city staff, police and fire personnel patrolled the area and no injuries were reported.
