On the morning of October 30, in Hanaokacho, Odate City, Akita Prefecture, a bear attacked a pet Shiba Inu named Dai (male, 17), who was found with its abdomen torn and internal organs missing. The owner, a 60-year-old man, discovered bloodstains in front of the doghouse.
