At about 16:50 on April 5, near JR San'in Line Hasako Station, the driver of a stopped Super Oki limited express spotted a juvenile bear about 60 cm long crossing the tracks from the seaside to the mountainside. There was no contact with the train and no impact on operations; the city issued warnings via disaster mail and radio.
