On May 11, 2026, between about 16:00 and 17:00, a single bear approximately 1 meter long was sighted on the prefectural road (Tanuma–Karasawayama Park Line) leading from Tochimoto Park toward Karasawayama in Tochimotocho, Sano City. The bear headed west after the sighting.

At around 06:10 on February 25, 2026, a single bear about 1 m in length was sighted in a vacant lot approximately 200 m south of Shin-Yoshimizu No.2 Park in Yoshimizu, Sano City. Nearby are Tobu Sano Line Yoshimizu Station, the Michi-no-Eki Domanaka Tanuma rest area, and the Akiyama River.

Nearby are the Domannaka Tanuma roadside station and Bando Taro Sano restaurant, and the Akiyama River flows close by.
