The subsequent whereabouts of the animal believed to be a bear are unknown.

The following morning at 06:50 on November 17, a bear of similar size was also seen on Route 459 (Kitakata, Yamatocho Kohata Kitamukai), and no injuries or property damage were reported; the bear later entered the forest.
