At around 07:10 on the 19th, one adult bear was sighted in Kumasaka, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Employees of chain manufacturer Daido Kogyo spotted the bear, which was heading north from the factory; no injuries were reported. Kaga City is patrolling the area and urging caution.

Police and the local hunting association searched the area for about two hours but found no footprints or droppings; another sighting and animal traces were reported along the Idagawa in Yao-machi, and the city has urged residents to be extremely cautious.
