A factory worker at the Seiren Katsuyama factory in Katsuyama City sighted a bear. The next morning an adult male bear was confirmed inside the factory building; after evacuating employees, it was shot and killed at about 10:15 a.m. No human injuries were reported.

On the morning of November 8, 2025, an adult male bear was confirmed on the premises of the Seiren Katsuyama factory in Takinami-cho, Katsuyama City, Fukui. After securing safety, the city carried out an emergency cull at around 10:15 a.m.; there were no injuries, and the bear was a male about 1.2 meters long.
