While driving from Mizusawa Dam Park toward Route 63, a bear jumped out from brush on the north side but, startled by the car, immediately went back. Its body length was about 1.2 m, sex unknown, and it was alone. About 20 m before the sighting point there was a contractor mowing grass, so I verbally warned them as well.
