[Report] Appeared near the Shinjo railroad crossing in Yuzawa City, headed along the farm road toward Yuzawa Station, crossed the tracks, and entered the Ugo Transportation parking lot. The bear believed to be the adult female is about 1.0–1.1 m in height; the bear believed to be a cub is about 0.7–0.8 m in height.

In the early morning of October 20, 2025, a bear attacked a male resident in front of a house and entered the home in Omotecho, Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture. The city set a box trap at the entrance to try to capture it, but as of 8:00 p.m. on the 23rd it had not been caught, and emergency shooting was not used because the location is a residential area.
