[Post] From a slope repair site about 400–500 meters ahead toward Minami-Yurihara, it crossed the road from the hillside road to the river side and ran away. It was not a mother bear but a cub (a small cub that seems weaned). On Oct 23, it also crossed from the hillside to the river side at the same spot and ran away, so it seems to be the same cub.

[Post] A small bear, possibly a cub or a young bear separated from its mother, ran from the hillside field path toward the river, crossed it, and disappeared toward the river.

[Post] It poked its head out from between guard rails along the riverside onto the sidewalk, walked slowly to the center of the road, then back and wandered, startled by honking, and disappeared along the riverside. (A cub was seen in the same place 2–3 weeks earlier.)

[Post] From the river side, a mother bear stuck its head out from the guardrail onto the sidewalk, repeatedly peeking out and retreating. It then slipped through a gap in the guardrail, walked onto the sidewalk, and ate a horse chestnut that had fallen there, then moved to the middle of the road and looked back, waiting for the cub to emerge; when the cub did not appear, it again wandered slowly along the road and sidewalk before returning to the river side and vanishing.
