Around 06:00 on November 26, 2025, a man in his 30s driving a car spotted a bear about 1 meter long on a municipal road in Nabenuma, Hiromote, Akita City. The bear was about 10 meters from nearby buildings and about 30 meters from a school; the Akita East Police are patrolling by patrol car and warning residents.
