Shimanaka Ou Kouen

At around 12:40 on November 29, a single bear about 1 meter long was seen leaning against a standing tree in Seibu Park in Kashikayama-machi, Kōriyama City. The area includes schools and residential neighborhoods, and similar-sized bears were reported nearby on November 27 and 28, prompting police to urge residents to be cautious.

On the morning of the 27th around 07:30, a bear approximately 1.0 m long was sighted in the Tsutsumi 1-chome area of Koriyama City; a nearby park was temporarily closed and schools shut windows and doors as a precaution. Earlier/later in the morning a roughly 0.5 m bear was also seen in Koriyama's Otsuki area; no injuries or property damage have been confirmed.
