On November 25 at around 13:25, a single bear about 1 meter long was sighted on a prefectural road near the Prefectural Wildlife Center in Wada-cho, Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. According to a witness, the bear crossed the road and went into the forest; there were no injuries, and the city issued warnings via disaster radio.

At about 08:05 on 2025-11-11, a resident in Sakurai-cho, Kofu City, spotted one bear (body length 50–60 cm) in a home's garden. The bear fled to the northern woodland, and the city and police alerted residents by disaster radio, patrolled the area, and installed warning signs.

Around 08:30 on the 7th, 15 footprints about 15 cm long were found in a vineyard surrounded by houses in Yokonecho, Kofu City, believed to be from an adult bear over 1 meter long. About 2 km west near JR Zenkōji Station a cub of about 50 cm was sighted four days earlier, and the city is urging caution and immediate reporting of sightings.

A box trap was installed in the fields near the site, where a bear presence was confirmed close to a residential area and a high school. On November 7 a bear track was found in a vegetable field about 1.2 km north of the site, and the city urged people to carry bells or spray and not leave persimmons in the fields.
