While driving toward the Akita area, a roughly 1-meter brown bear (Tsukinowaguma) was on the left shoulder of the road; it entered the mountains as I passed by.

[Report] While walking downstream along the riverbank embankment, I spotted a bear moving in the same direction on the riverbed below the embankment. It ran alongside me for a short while. The bear then continued along the river and disappeared downstream.
