Around 8:06 p.m. on November 8, in Nan'aimachi Harai area, on a town road, a witness (a man in his 50s) driving west to east saw two bears on the town road: one about 1 m and one about 50 cm long. The bears then headed to the southern mountains.

Around 10:20 PM on October 20, in Noshiro Town, Noshito area, along Route 352, a witness in his 20s driving home eastbound observed a bear about 1.2 m sitting on the north side of the road. The bear noticed the car's lights and fled into the north hillside.
