Adult bear (around 1m?). In the km ~2.7 to the way up to Oguninuma. Approached from the bushes but at some point it run uphill. I did not finish the trail

On November 16, 2025 at around 08:05, an elderly man in his 80s removing an electric fence on a farm road in Bandai (Bandai Town), Fukushima, was attacked by a single bear about 1 meter long, suffering injuries to the back of his head and his right leg. Other workers shouted and the bear left for the woods; the man was taken to hospital, conscious but having difficulty walking.

Around 2:30 PM on October 21, on National Route 459 in Kibara, the witness driving observed a bear about 1 m crossing the road from north to south. The bear then moved into the shrubs to the south.
