Around 09:30 on April 25, 2026, four bears were sighted in Inawashiro Town, Tamayoshi Honari-otsu (near Tatsuzawa Fudo Falls); passersby observed them up in a tree. No damage to people or property has been confirmed so far; the police have warned residents and, in coordination with the town office, have stepped up patrols.

Around 18:00 on the 15th, a single bear about 1 meter long was sighted crossing National Route 49 in Nakayama, Atami-machi, Koriyama City. No injuries were reported, and police are patrolling the area.

Around 7:40 a.m. on November 14, on the Monzen-Green Line (Kōnan Green Line) along the Green Line near Honari, a witness saw two bears about 50 cm long crossing from west to east on the main local road; the bears then headed into the forests on the east side.
