Around 21:00 on November 24, a bear-like animal was sighted in Moro-hongo, Moroyama. The animal was about 1 meter long and was seen running along a river. The area is near a station and a university hospital, and since deer and wild boar also appear locally, police say other animals cannot be ruled out and have urged caution.

A single bear was sighted about 100 meters southeast of Musashiyokote Station in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture; claw marks and feces were found on a persimmon tree in a private garden. A postal worker saw the bear on November 15, reported it on the 18th, and city staff with local hunters inspected the site on the 19th.
