Report: While driving north after turning from Kappei Street, I saw a black animal heading west from the direction of Kappei Hiyoshi Shrine. It was a moon bear about 60 cm tall with thick four legs.

The bear was about 5 meters from a residence and roughly 850 meters from a nearby junior high school; the Akita Central Police are patrolling the area by patrol car and warning residents.
