At around 11:40 a.m. on the 21st, a woman at the Mount Shinobu parking lot in Oyama (Hayama), Fukushima City, observed a single bear-like animal about 50 cm long crossing a mountain path. According to the Fukushima Police, the animal left toward the woods to the north.

Just after 08:00 on December 4, three bears were sighted on a road in Moriai, Fukushima City: one adult about 1 m long and two cubs about 50 cm each. At around 16:10 on November 30, 2025, a man in his 50s spotted a single bear about 1 meter long crossing a municipal road in Mori-ai, Fukushima City and climbing toward Mt. Shinobu. No human injuries were reported.
