On 2025-11-08, a driver reported seeing a bear about 100–150 cm long on National Route 365 in Tsubakisaka, Yogo, Nagahama City, to the Nagahama Police Station. The bear was seen on the south side of the Tsubakisaka Pass and then headed toward a nearby settlement; police and the city are patrolling the area and warning residents.
