A bear-related human injury occurred on the promenade at Shomyo Falls in Tateyama Town, Toyama Prefecture, and the so-called Shomyo Road was closed; part of the road between Katsuradai Gate and Shomyo-daira rest area partially reopened on the 20th. At reopening, leaflets warning visitors about bears were distributed and a radio/cassette player was installed at the Shomyo-daira lookout.
