On the night of November 5, 2025, a black bear (tsukinowaguma) appeared near a house in Iiyama, Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, and was captured on camera. About ten days earlier, bear activity had been noted in the settlement, including a broken persimmon tree.
