[Posted] I observed coming from the hillside toward an apple orchard. On noticing us, it fled toward the hillside. About 50 m to houses/settlement. Bear size estimated at 1 m to 1.5 m. Map info showed Akita City, but sighting location was Kayakari Field, so I corrected the location accordingly.
