In Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, around 18:00 on May 19, a large Asian black bear about 1.5 m long and estimated to weigh up to 150 kg appeared on a roadside beside a field and was spotted by a passing resident. The person who filmed it reported that the bear appeared accustomed to humans.
