At about 14:25 on May 8, 2026, a woman in her 60s at the Koide after-school childcare club 'Keyakikko' in Hashimoto, Nakamisaji, Nikaho City, sighted a single bear approximately 60 cm long on the facility grounds. Police contacted related agencies, patrolled the area by squad car, and warned residents to be cautious.
