On Monday, June 8 at around 6:15 p.m., in a rice field in Nōke, Amanuma, Shiogawa-machi, Kitakata City, a witness (male, in his teens) who was traveling by vehicle spotted one bear (about 1 m in body length) in the rice field to the west. The bear then ran westward and disappeared from view.
