Noji Onsen

At around 20:00 on April 17, 2026, on National Route 115 in Tsuchiyu Onsen-machi, Fukushima City, a passenger car traveling from Inawashiro toward Fukushima City struck one bear that had entered the road. The vehicle was partly damaged but the male driver was not injured; the bear left the scene. Police, working with Fukushima City Hall, warned people in the area to be cautious.

Around 6:30 AM on July 18, on National Route 115 in Tobu Onsen-cho, Fukushima City, a man in his 40s driving toward Inawashiro Town encountered a bear about 1 m long that suddenly darted out from the right (west) side of the direction of travel; the bear turned around and returned to the woods.
