Around 08:00 on the 4th, a single bear about 1 meter in length was sighted in a field at Otama-mura, Oyama, Osaraku-bo, and walked toward the forest. No human or property damage has been reported, and police are patrolling the area and urging residents to be cautious.

Around 3:18 PM on February 28, near Nagata, Ninomatsu City, within a national forest along Prefectural Route 386 (Dake Onsen Line), a witness (a woman in her 40s) observed one bear while jogging, crossing the prefectural road from north to south. Afterwards, the bear entered the forest to the south and disappeared from view.

Around 4 p.m. on November 19, in the Oyama area of Ōyama Village, a witness in their 70s saw a bear in the mountain forest about 1 m long as they were returning home. The bear moved westward into the forest.
