The bear's subsequent whereabouts are unknown and no injuries have been reported. Police are patrolling the area and warning residents to be cautious.

There are nurseries and houses nearby, and since a sighting believed to be the same individual was reported on the 14th, authorities have continued to monitor the area and set box traps.

Around 1:33 AM on October 11, on a road in Kitakata City, Koshakami area, a witness viewing live security camera footage observed a bear about 1.5 m moving south on the west side of the road. A police officer at the scene also observed another bear about 50 cm on the south side of a private residence. The two bears joined, but their whereabouts afterward are unknown.
