Description
While walking the old Tokaido from Mizuguchi toward Kusatsu, at the fork toward Mikumo, heading toward the pedestrian bridge. The riverbank grass rustled and shook; a dark, sturdy four-legged body ran toward Mikumo. The head was hidden by grass, but photos from the lodging suggested it was a bear, about the size of a husky.
