On Wednesday, June 17, at approximately 9:25 a.m., near Akadome Bridge on the Bonari Green Line in Numajiri-yama Ko area, Koyari, Inawashiro Town, a witness traveling southbound on the Bonari Green Line in a vehicle observed one bear (about 1 m in body length) crossing the road from west to east near Akadome Bridge and then leaving into the hillside forest on the east side.

On Monday, June 15, at approximately 2:40 p.m., on National Route 115 in Mizuhara, Matsukawa-machi, Fukushima City (Nanazawa area), a witness (female in her 40s) was driving when she sighted one bear (about 1 m in body length) crossing the road. The bear then left into the brush on the east side of the road.

At around 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, on National Route 459 in Minamisawa, Suibara, Matsukawamachi, Fukushima City, a witness (male in his 30s) saw one bear (approximately 1 m in body length) while driving. The bear later left and went deeper into the forest.

On Sunday, June 7 at approximately 2:20 p.m., in the Numajiri-yama Ko area of Sangai, Inawashiro Town, a witness (male in his 50s) was traveling northeast on a town road by vehicle when he observed one bear (about 1 m in body length) that had been on the right side of the road leaving toward the forested hillside to the east.

On Tuesday, May 26 at around 10:30 p.m., in the Tsutsumiga-hira area of Tsuchiyu Onsen Town, Fukushima City, on a municipal road, a witness (woman in her 20s) driving a car observed one animal believed to be a bear (approximately 1 m in length) crossing the road from west to east.
