Shiritsu Niwa Tsuka Shougakkou

At around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, in a fruit orchard in the Dozuna Kitayachi-tochi area of Fukushima City, a witness (male in his 50s) saw a single bear (about 1 m in body length) wandering through the orchard next to his home. The bear subsequently left the area heading west.

Around 07:00 on December 1, a single bear about 1 meter long was sighted in a field at Zainiwazaka Haragishi in Fukushima City. The bear left heading south; no injuries or property damage have been reported. Police have informed Fukushima City and are conducting patrols near the scene.
