On Thursday, June 18 at approximately 5:30 PM, in a field in Nagao-michi, Tsurunobe, Aizumisato Town, a witness (male, in his 30s) walking his dog observed two bears emerge from the brush in the field (approximate body lengths: about 1 m and about 50 cm). The subsequent movements of the bears are unknown.

At around 09:50 on November 23, 2025, a man in his 60s cycling in Tateishida, Aizumisato Town, sighted one bear (about 50 cm in length) walking on an embankment. No injuries were reported, and the town is urging caution regarding bear sightings.
