At around 12:50 on the 7th, one bear cub was sighted near the Tateyama Town General Park in Nozawa, Tateyama Town. Town officials, police and the hunting association inspected and stood guard; an emergency shooting permit and access restrictions were issued at 14:40, but the bear is believed to have fled and the emergency shooting was later canceled.
